Project Description

AVI Southeast was recently hired by University of North Florida to enhance the sound system in their basketball arena.  Along with the amazing product line from Danley Sound Labs, CCS’s staff completely transformed the way players and fans will experience games with immersive and incredible sound quality.   In addition, CCS completed an installation in the new UNF Donor suite. It’s is a state-of-the-art multipurpose venue with a large game-day entertainment suite, executive conference room, bar and recruiting space.  AVI Southeast provided automation of the air wall separating the conference room from the suite so that the spaces can be separated or combined with a single tap of the panel touch.  The conference room has an LG 86” interactive flat panel display to provide outstanding functionality and control of the presentation.  Presenters can write over their presentations, show videos, or write on the digital whiteboard with controls on the display.  Product Highlights:

  • Crestron’s NVX video over IP system in the entertainment venue provides dynamic routing of video content from any source to any display.
  • LG Commercial UHD displays, including  LG 43UR640 and  LG 86UR340.

Project Description

AVI Southeast completed a state-of-the-art audio installation for Jacksonville University Basketball Training and Performance Center.  It has two high-energy sound systems driven by Denon audio players with JBL speakers and Lab Gruppen amplifiers.  The main practice floor has six JBL Control 312CS Subwoofers and 12 JBL Contol 67HC/T Pendant speakers hidden in the rafters.  This combination helps create a high-energy environment to help drive performance while reducing background distractions.

We also installed a total of twelve LG displays, ranging from 55” to 86” throughout the facility that are compatible with the LG’s Supersign CMS digital signage system.  This would allow signage content throughout the campus when the displays aren’t being used to analyze game and practice film.

Major Components:

  • JBL Contol 67HC/T Pendant Speaker
  • Denon DN-350UI
  • JBL Control 312CS Subwoofer

Biscayne Campus Library’s new ASK Center

Florida International University has commenced with their ribbon cutting ceremony for the Biscayne Bay Campus’ ASK! Center at the Hubert Library on October 30, 2014. The initiative began over 1‐year ago by Dean Anne Prestamo and Associate Dean Bryan Cooper to create a student learning and support zone for writing, languages and academic technology use.

CCS Presentation Systems has contributed to the ASK! Center by installing a digital signage system at the service desk with 4‐portrait orientation displays recessed into the woodwork. Paired with the FourWinds interactive content, the service desk can update library hours, upcoming events and seminars or post emergency updates.

Additionally, CCS had helped design and implement a student interactive viewing and listening station. Powered by Crestron Electronics, the dual viewing stations allow study groups to view library video sources for review and entertainment. Each viewer also has a dedicated audio headset and amplifier for private listening and volume control. The dual touch-panels operate each station independently or can share the same video/audio source for a larger viewing group.

The project total was $35,000.00
